FAQs
Focal is built only for photographers. Your website, packages, galleries, and booking system live in one place, instead of a website builder plus separate tools for galleries, contracts, and payments. With Pro Setup, we build the site for you. You can also publish chosen packages to the Focal Marketplace, where couples can find you.
Yes. Your Focal account has the same editor and templates we use. Create a free account, build at your own pace, and choose a service plan when you’re ready to go live. Pro Setup is for when you’d rather spend that time shooting and want it done right the first time, including the parts you can’t do from the editor, like redirecting your old site’s links. If you start on your own and change your mind, we’ll build your Pro Setup in the same account.
Yes. Swap photos, update your text, and add galleries, blog posts, and packages whenever you like. The one thing you can’t do is rearrange your homepage, and that’s deliberate: every Focal homepage follows the order that turns visitors into bookings. On your other pages and blog posts, you can add, remove, and reorder sections freely, and nothing you do in the editor can break your site.
Your service plan is $11, $22, or $50 a month billed annually, or $13, $25, or $60 month to month. When clients pay you through your site, Stripe charges its standard card fee of 2.9% + $0.30. Focal adds a booking transaction fee of 5% on Core, or none on All You Need. The Website plan is website-only, so it doesn’t take payments through your site. See the service plans for the full comparison.
Yes, if you want a professional site that’s built to get you booked, and one easy system for your packages, bookings, and payments, without learning web design. Probably not, if you want to design every page yourself, rearrange your homepage, or fine-tune every font size and bit of spacing.
Yes. Deliver galleries to your clients and feature them on your site. Storage comes with every plan: 100GB on Website and Core, and 5TB on All You Need. You can add more from your account settings.
Yes, on every plan. Add a hero video to your homepage or any page. Those are uploaded as files, up to 1.5GB each, so your site stays fast while your video still looks sharp. For video inside a page, a blog post, or a package, paste a YouTube or Vimeo link. It plays right on your site, with no size limit and no compression from Focal. You can also add video sections further down your homepage the same way.
It keeps everything from inquiry to final payment in one place. Every package inquiry becomes a ready-made booking request for you to review. Once you accept, your client gets their own booking page, where they sign your contract, fill in your questionnaire, and pay you, with no account to create. Add a deposit and payment reminders, and Focal emails your client when each one is due, so you’re not chasing payments.
*Full booking system included in Core and All You Need. The Website plan is website-only, so all package and contact form inquiries come straight to your email.
Yes. Focal doesn’t sell domains, so if you don’t have one yet, buy one from any domain provider, like GoDaddy or Namecheap. We’ll show you how to share access with us, and we’ll handle the rest of the launch.
When your new site launches, we point your domain at it. If your old site had pages people still link to, we redirect those links to your new pages, so nobody hits a dead end.
You choose it in the setup form after you buy. Your plan starts when your site launches, so you’re not paying for a site that isn’t live yet.
